In the current experience and management of the island, there are two kinds of circulations that can be identified, the pedestrian circulation (majority), and the small motor vehicle’s circulation, for the minor services.

This system is defined by connection axis, which allow the population flow’s distribution from the dock trough the main facilities and to the beach converging in two plazas – the Park’s Plaza and the Beach’s Plaza –, and by pathways’ systems, which allows the circulation from this axis and the access to the several interesting places.

Regarding to pedestrian circulation’s system are proposed small enlargements of the raised structure, which allows to the walkers some refreshment areas with incorporated furniture namely benches and shade structures.

It is intended that the Park’s Plaza becomes to be one of the main focus of Tavira’s Island, in order to increase the importance that it already has. Incorporated in the main pedestrian axis, which connects the tourist dock and the beach supporting facilities and its access’ pathways, the plaza is an unavoidable border crossing point. The fact that it covers the new built set, which incorporates the lobby and the main camping park’s supporting facilities, develops the converging functions to a clear repercussion at the Island experience and environment.

Under the environmental requalification it is essential an intervention at this centre in order to achieve an appropriate incorporation. The propose aims the maintenance of the minimarket building and the demolishing of the others, as well as its renewal by a set incorporated in the intervention and improvement of the adjacent public space. This intervention presents a language according with the restaurant facilities which are developed trough the same pedestrian pathway axis.
