In 1952, the project of the following buildings, intended for the Campo Grande area, in the terrain intended for the Lisbon University City, were requested to the Architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro:
– Rectory
– Law School
– Literature School
Project that, practically, reinitiated the works made in October 1935.
At the time of his decease – December 1957 –only the Law School building had been completed.
Since 1958 the responsibility of technical assisting the works in the Literature School was officially entrusted to Architect António Pardal Monteiro, considering the task that he had been assuming ever since the beginning of the Law School’s construction, as his uncle’s representative, the deceased architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro, and as his office’s element that participated in the three buildings’ studies and formulation, since the first sketches.
