The APPDA intended to locate, in the land assigned by Lisbon’s City Hall, its Center and the Homes that concerned this project.

The Center building will be located as northern as the boundary of the “non aedificandi” area allows, estimating that it will be constructed, basically, in three elements.

The building intended for the homes will be located in the West side of the land, in a position that directs the main chambers and rooms to Southeast.

The present project includes the design of four homes, grouped in two blocks of ground floor and first floor, served by common stairs.

The intention is that each home represents an autonomous dwelling house. For this reason, the ground floor ones have a direct door to the terrain, which will be common to the homes and to the Center; the ones in the first floor will function in a similar way, using the stairs.

Movement between the homes is not foreseen, only between each one and the exterior, the stairs were considered as exterior, so they were not contained by construction.

Each home, designed for a low number of users that will residence permanently there, will incorporate five chambers and common facilities, incorporating living and eating room, kitchen and pantry, storehouse and bathrooms.

Though these homes are incorporated in the same terrain where it is intended to build the Supporting Center, they should admit an autonomous function. For such purpose, each one should have its own kitchen, because, both the existing supporting centers, and the successor one intended for the same terrain, will only provide lunches, being the other meals prepared in the respective homes.

The bathrooms were designed accounting these constraints, separating the lavatory from the watering place; for these last ones tub showers and one bathtub are provided, which experience has proved to be necessary
